Having implemented IPC-A-610 as the standard for approval, it is important that companies also implement the production engineering IPC standard J-STD-001. This creates conformity between end product requirements and the production processes involved in the manufacture of the product.
The course will go through the requirements for manufacture in accordance with J-STD-001.
The participants will be qualified to deliver and administer company internal training of operators, who have the daily responsibility for daily production - be it manual or automated soldering processes. The program is using the method of ”training the trainer”.
During the course both the theoretical and practical requirements in J-STD-001 will be covered.
A certificate will be issued upon completion of both a theoretical and a workmanship test (hand soldering test). The certificate as a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) grants access to online IPC training material to use in the training of Certified IPC Specialists (CIS) and it is valid for two years.
Please note! To qualify for renewal, a CIT shall conduct at least one (1) IPC CIS course a year. The CIT must train a minimum of 5 CIS candidates during their twenty-four-month certification period.
