Handsoldering recertification (ECSS-Q-70-08)


The operators course in manual soldering addresses ESA's requirements for assembly and soldering of electronic components, including the factors that affect the quality and reliability of manual soldering. When the participants have passed a practical and theoretical test an ESA-approved certificate is issued with a validity of two years.

The foundation of the course is ESA-specification ECSS-Q-70-08: 'Manual soldering of high reliability electrical connection'.

The course would be of interest to anybody who needs - or wants - to be able to document knowledge of manual soldering and assembly processes.


Among other things the following is focused on:

  • ECSS-Q-70-08 Requirements
  • PCB and design
  • Solderability og PCB and components
  • Requirements for soldering
  • Tools and equipment
  • Examination
In order to participate in the course a basic knowledge of hand-soldering and components is required. Participants must bring an approved sight test which meet ESA's requirements. The course is designed for engineers in production, quality, and construction as well as operators.




Price per participant: DKK 3.700 including course materials, refreshments and lunch.
